As a Data Engineer in our online travel company, you will play a strategic role in managing and enhancing the data architecture for our flight sales operations. Key Responsibilities

Develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures, such as large-scale data processing systems and databases, ensuring they are scalable and efficient to support our business needs.
Manage and improve data pipelines, enhancing the performance and reliability of data collection, integration, and transformation processes across various sources.
Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to assist in data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs, enabling advanced analytics and reporting.
Uphold data quality and ensure adherence to governance and compliance standards when handling sensitive data related to flight sales and customer interactions.
Explore and integrate cutting-edge data storage, processing, and analytics technologies, positioning our company at the forefront of data-driven strategies in the travel industry.
Proactively identify opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data, contributing to the development of innovative products and services for our customers.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Demonstrable experience in data engineering with a successful track record of designing and operating large-scale data infrastructures.
Proficiency in programming languages used in data engineering, such as Python, Scala, or Java, and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Expertise in building and optimizing ‘big data’ pipelines, architectures, and data sets, with a strong understanding of various ETL techniques and frameworks.
Knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) as they pertain to data storage, computing, and analytics services.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to apply quantitative reasoning to complex data problems and communicate findings effectively.
A team player with excellent collaboration skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams to define and solve data-related challenges.
