Farera does not currently sell travel insurance directly through our platform. However, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance separately before your trip, especially for international travel or expensive bookings.
Travel insurance can provide valuable coverage for a wide range of situations, including medical emergencies abroad, trip cancellations due to illness or family emergencies, lost or delayed baggage, flight delays and missed connections, and supplier insolvency.
You can purchase travel insurance from a variety of providers, either online or through your bank or credit card company. Many credit cards also include some level of travel protection automatically when you use them to book flights, so it's worth checking what coverage you already have.
When choosing a policy, pay attention to what's covered and what's excluded. Key things to look for include the coverage limits, the deductible amount, whether pre-existing medical conditions are covered, and whether the policy covers cancellations for any reason or only for specific events.
While our add-ons like Flexible Ticket and Cancel for Any Reason provide great flexibility for date changes and cancellations, they are not a substitute for comprehensive travel insurance. For the best protection, we recommend using them alongside a dedicated insurance policy.
