We always recommend checking in online before heading to the airport. Not only is it faster, but it also gives you the chance to select your seat, add extra baggage, or make meal requests. It's also a great opportunity to double-check important travel details like your flight times, terminal information, and gate assignment to make sure everything is in order.

Some airlines, especially low-cost carriers, charge additional fees if you check in at the airport counter instead of online. These fees can sometimes be significant, so completing online check-in in advance is the best way to avoid any unexpected costs.

If you haven't checked in yet or don't have a boarding pass when you arrive at the airport, don't panic. Head directly to the airline's check-in counter with your passport or ID, and the staff will be able to assist you. Just make sure to arrive at least 2 to 3 hours before your flight to allow enough time for the check-in process and security screening.

Keep in mind that you won't be allowed through airport security without a valid boarding pass, so make sure you've either completed online check-in or visited the airline counter before heading to security.

Most airports accept mobile boarding passes, so you don't need to print anything. Simply show the QR code on your phone at security and at the boarding gate. If you prefer having a physical copy, you can print your boarding pass at home after completing online check-in, or use the self-service kiosks available at most airports.

If you're unsure about your airline's specific check-in policy or deadlines, you can find all the relevant details in your MyArea account, including a direct link to the airline's online check-in portal.
