That said, some airlines may consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis if you can provide supporting documentation, such as a medical certificate or hospital note. To submit a cancellation request, go to MyArea and use the Extra Services section as soon as possible.

Please be aware that even when airlines do consider medical exceptions, the outcome is not guaranteed and depends entirely on the airline's own policies. Farera will do everything we can to facilitate the request on your behalf.

We also strongly recommend checking whether you have travel insurance that covers medical cancellations. In most cases, travel insurance or credit card travel coverage provides a much better path to recovering your costs than a direct claim with the airline.

For future bookings, consider selecting "Cancel for Any Reason" or a fully refundable ticket option, especially for important trips where unexpected changes are possible.
