The price changed between search and payment

Fares are set by airlines and they move in real time. Between a search result appearing and payment being taken, an airline can withdraw a price or release the remaining seats at a higher one. It happens most often on the cheapest fare, where very few seats exist at that price.

When it does happen, the new price is always shown to you before payment, and the booking can't go through until you accept it. On some payment methods you'll confirm the amount a second time in your bank's or wallet's own screen. No booking completes at a price you haven't seen and accepted.

Once the amount is accepted, the booking stands at the price paid, under that ticket's fare conditions.
