Can I book a child traveling on their own?
For safety and regulatory reasons, all bookings made through Farera require that children travel accompanied by an adult. We are unable to process bookings for unaccompanied minors on our platform, regardless of the child's age.
When booking flights that include children, please make sure that at least one adult passenger (18 years or older) is included in the same booking. Children can be added as passengers during the booking process by selecting the appropriate age category (child or infant) alongside the accompanying adult.
If you need to arrange travel for a child flying alone, some airlines do offer dedicated Unaccompanied Minor (UM) services. These programs are designed to ensure the safety of young travelers throughout their journey, with airline staff providing supervision from check-in through to arrival. UM services typically involve additional fees and specific airline conditions, such as age restrictions, required documentation, and limitations on routes or connections.
We recommend contacting the airline directly to learn about their UM service, including eligibility requirements, fees, and how to book. This needs to be arranged directly with the carrier, as each airline has its own policies and procedures for handling unaccompanied minors.
Please note that even if the airline offers a UM service, the booking for that service cannot be made through Farera and must be arranged separately with the airline.
